The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare meals and food to meet specifications in a timely manner
  • Cooking Techniques: Properly measure kitchen ingredients and food portions
  • Kitchen Management: Ensure kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, rules and sanitation requirements
  • Equipment Operation: Use kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers and warmers in food preparation
  • Inventory Management: Manage the kitchen inventory and ensure supplies are fresh and of high quality
  • Food Safety: Ensure proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterward
  • Cleanliness: Keep the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized and sanitized

This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.

Requirements:
  • Culinary Degree: Culinary degree preferred
  • Experience: Two or more years of experience in a culinary lead role
  • Environment: Experience in a high volume catering environment preferred
