Look no further than Methodist Health System As a Medical Aide, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our nursing team to provide direct care services to residents in a long-term care setting. You will be responsible for administering medications, taking vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
\\ Responsibilities:
\\ * Provides direct resident care under the supervision of licensed professional nursing staff
\\ * Consistently promotes a positive resident and employee experience
\\ * Assists with or completes oral hygiene, bathing, dressing, shaving, nail care, and hair care of residents according to their individual plans of care
\\ * Prepares and transports residents for meals and assists with feeding if necessary
\\ * Administers specified medications and provides accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
\\ * Maintains a safe and clean environment by following established policies and procedures
\\ Requirements:
\\ * High school diploma or equivalent required; specialized courses in healthcare preferred
\\ * Successful completion of the state-approved Nurse Assistant course required
\\ * Six months of CNA experience preferably in Long Term Care/Skilled Care required; one to two years preferred
\\ * 40 Hour Medication Aide (MAR.40) certification required
\\ * Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred but not required
