We are seeking a skilled Patient Accounts Representative - Billing Support to join our team at South Shore Health.
As a key member of our Patient Accounts department, you will provide critical support for all billing activities, ensuring seamless communication with patients and internal stakeholders. Under the direction of the Manager of Cash & Vendor Management, you will be responsible for:
- Responding to incoming calls regarding billing inquiries in a high-volume Call Center environment.
- Researching required information to resolve billing concerns.
- Communicating with appropriate personnel for research and resolution to inquiries.
- Generating outgoing calls to patients in response to inquiries.
- Reviewing and researching correspondence related to patient accounts.
- Ensuring adherence to Hospital Credit Collection Policy and HIPAA Privacy Regulations for all patient-related contact.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. Additionally, they should be able to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple tasks in a timely manner.
About the Role- This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary range of $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience.
