Job Summary:
The Family Medicine Support Associate will provide clinical support to healthcare professionals, ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare services. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about patient care and want to make a difference in their community.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate efficient and effective patient flow by preparing patients for visits and providing specific services and education as determined by providers.
- Perform administrative duties to ensure accurate and up-to-date information, including maintenance and monitoring of electronic health records.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, equipment, and communicate any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
- Communicate with patients and staff in a caring and respectful manner, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
- Collect and monitor patient data, reporting and documenting according to standards.
- Engage in process and quality improvement activities, recommending and implementing improvements to operational efficiency and new services.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program required.
- 1 year of relevant experience working in a physician practice or healthcare setting preferred.
- AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) certification within 120 days required.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 120 days required.
