Job Title: Trailer Technician

We are seeking a skilled Trailer Technician to join our team at North Central Utility. As a Trailer Technician, you will play a crucial role in our company's success by performing mechanical repairs and maintenance on trailers.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of trailer repairs, including preventative maintenance and DOT inspections.
  • Inspect, trouble shoot, and repair trailer bodies, systems, and components.
  • Inspect, service, and replace trailer parts.
  • Test all systems and equipment for performance issues.
  • Compile inspection reports, document repairs and report findings to manager.
  • Use and promote industry best practices.
  • Maintain and promote a safe work environment.
  • Use and promote PPE and the use of safety equipment.
  • Assist Service Manager as needed.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Driver's License (Required).
  • Basic set of tools.
  • Previous experience preferred.
  • Computer skills.
  • High mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Welding or fabrication experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist, reach overhead, stoop, squat repetitively and for long periods of time.
