About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Restaurant & Retail Associate to join our team at Ghirardelli Chocolate. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, managing cash handling and credit card processing procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized sales floor and stockroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional guest service and create a positive shopping experience for all customers
  • Manage cash handling and credit card processing procedures, including handling cash, operating a point-of-sale system, and processing credit card transactions
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor and stockroom, including restocking merchandise, cleaning equipment, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
  • Perform various tasks associated with being a Chocolateer, including assembling proprietary retail items, maintaining adequate supply of retail product, and ensuring all product is appropriately priced and signed
  • Utilize knowledge of products and pricing to satisfy guest inquiries and create up-sell opportunities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including gift-wrapping, cleaning windows and mirrors, and maintaining the stockroom in a clean and orderly fashion
Requirements
  • High energy and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work all shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Previous retail experience is desirable
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
