As a key member of our Radiation Oncology team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy to patients. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities- Perform regular quality assurance testing of treatment-related machines and systems.
- Supervise and evaluate any radiation treatment requiring a therapeutic medical physicist's presence.
- Develop and implement computer-aided planning and calculations for radiation treatment.
- Evaluate patient-related dosimetric measurements to assess treatment quality.
- Provide consultation to radiation oncologists, clinical staff, and patients as needed.
- A Master of Science degree in Medical Physics or a related field is required.
- Licensure by the State of Texas as a Medical Physicist is mandatory.
- Candidates must be eligible for Therapeutic Medical Physics board certification by the American Board of Radiology.
