Public Area Housekeeper

Job Summary

Clean and maintain public and employee areas, including restrooms, showers, and floor surfaces. Ensure cleanliness and organization of assigned spaces. Perform tasks such as dusting, emptying trash, and inspecting furniture for damages. Maintain lights and report any maintenance issues. Respond to guest requests and communicate with other departments as needed. Maintain a clean and professional appearance and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain public and employee restrooms and showers
  • Clean glass in public and employee areas
  • Clean floor surfaces in public or employee space using designated chemicals, supplies, and equipment
  • Dust surfaces in assigned area
  • Empty trash containers, ashtrays, and ash urns in public areas into proper containers
  • Inspect condition of furniture for tears, rips, and stains and report damages
  • Clean and maintain lights
  • Post caution signs to limit traffic when necessary
  • Contact other departments directly for urgent repairs
  • Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments
  • Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
Requirements
  • No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
  • No related work experience required
  • No supervisory experience required
  • No license or certification required
Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.35 to $22.35 per hour and may offer 401(k) plan, earned paid time off and/or sick leave, and other wellness benefits. Benefits may be subject to generally applicable eligibility, waiting period, contribution, and other requirements and conditions.
