The Department of Communication at The University of Texas at Arlington invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Public Relations, tenure-track. As a tenure-track faculty member, the successful applicant will contribute to teaching, research, and service.
Key Responsibilities- Teach in our academic programs, including courses in public relations and strategic communication.
- Conduct publishable research in well-respected academic outlets in fields related to public relations and strategic communication.
- Provide professional service to the school, campus, and the field.
- Earned doctoral degree in communication, public relations, or a closely-related field.
- Prior experience working as a public relations professional or strategic communicator is preferred.
- Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level is also preferred.
The successful applicant will be an exceptional educator, active researcher, and collaborative colleague who can contribute significantly to the Department of Communication and its public relations sequence.
