POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Licensed Respiratory Care Specialist is responsible for administering respiratory therapy services to patients throughout the healthcare facility, adhering to established protocols and physician directives.

This role involves interaction with a diverse patient population, ensuring quality care across all age groups.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver respiratory care in accordance with New York State regulations and departmental guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational Background:
Completion of an accredited Associate Degree Program in Respiratory Therapy or an equivalent program recognized by the State Board.

Licensure and Certification:
Must hold a valid Respiratory Therapist license in New York State.
Certification in Basic Life Support is required; Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification is preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Part-Time position with a standard schedule of 24 hours per week.
Evening/Night shifts are required, with two shifts per week from 6 PM to 6:30 AM, including every other weekend.

DEPARTMENT: Pulmonary Medicine
COMPENSATION: Hourly rate commensurate with experience.
