Job Overview

Betacom is seeking a skilled Tower Technician to join our team in Billings, MT. As a Tower Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and quality of our wireless communication networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Climb and work on communications towers to install, replace, and repair antenna systems equipment.
  • Perform tower maintenance under close supervision.
  • Ability to climb tall structures (100 feet or more) with a 50-pound load.
  • Knowledge of basic tower rigging techniques.
  • Proficient with installation of antennas, RRH's, ground kits, RET systems.
  • Assist with testing procedures (sweeps, PIM, fiber testing, etc.)
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Good reading and writing skills (English).
  • Tower Tech IV - 4 years of progressive experience in the wireless site development industry.
  • OSHA 10, RF Awareness Training and First Aid/CPR trained.
  • Current ComTrain or equivalent certification in Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue Certification.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Working knowledge of basic hand tools, mechanical equipment, and electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Acceptable driving record and valid driver's license required.
