Position Summary: The Production Assembler will report directly to the Production Supervisor and work closely with the Shop Floor Leads. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with quality standards while operating efficiently in a lean manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble components based on blueprints, work orders, and specifications to produce parts and finished products that adhere to quality standards.
- Complete assembly checklists accurately to ensure all tasks are documented.
- Monitor inventory levels in the work area and communicate stock requirements to the Shop Floor Lead(s).
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following established safety protocols and procedures.
- Adhere to the company's Code of Conduct and perform other assigned duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Basic math skills are necessary for this position.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is essential.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to hear, read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods, typically up to 6 hours.
- Capable of lifting or moving up to 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Vision requirements include the ability to see both close and far distances, distinguish colors, and read small text and labels.
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as needed.
Work Environment: The position is based on the production shop floor, which may have varying temperatures and exposure to fumes and moderate noise levels. Safety gear, including steel-toed shoes and safety glasses, is mandatory, and hearing protection is required in designated areas.
