We are seeking a skilled Wall Finishing Specialist to join our team at Installed Building Products. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with their hands and have a passion for delivering high-quality finishes.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in applying primers and paints to walls and ceilings, as well as ensuring surfaces are properly prepared for painting.
About the RoleAs a Wall Finishing Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Applying primers and paints to interior walls and ceilings using a variety of techniques and materials.
- Protecting surrounding areas with drop cloths and masking tape to prevent damage and mess.
- Cleaning and maintaining painting equipment and tools to ensure they remain in good working order.
- FOLLOWING ALL SAFETY PROTOCOLS AND GUIDELINES TO ENSURE A SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT.
- Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure seamless execution of projects.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as a painter in residential or commercial settings.
- Knowledge of various painting techniques and materials, including primers, paints, and finishes.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing ladders and lifting heavy materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality to ensure that all finished surfaces meet our high standards.
- Excellent color vision and sense of aesthetics to create visually appealing finishes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.
- Good communication and customer service skills to interact with clients and colleagues.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
