Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient interviews and examinations to determine diagnoses
- Perform physical exams and patient observations to inform treatment plans
- Consult with healthcare professionals and families to ensure comprehensive care
- Order and analyze diagnostic tests to inform treatment decisions
- Monitor and operate medical equipment to ensure patient safety
- Diagnose health issues and develop effective treatment plans
- Record patients' medical histories and symptoms
- Maintain accurate patient records and provide documentation for insurance companies
- Train patients and their families to manage and prevent illness and injury
- Demonstrated eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Orthopedic training or experience preferred
- Master's degree from an accredited nursing program
- Previous experience in a related work environment preferred
- RN licensure in the state where employed or a compact party state and board-certified by either ANCC or AANP
- APN authorization in the state where employed to practice in family health by the Board of Nurse Examiners
- Prescriptive authorization
- Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required to perform work
- Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and point-of-interview technology
- A sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of disease prevention
- Able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment while maintaining positive energy
- Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for professional advancement
- Able to work compassionately with patients and coworkers to exhibit patient care second to none
