Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient interviews and examinations to determine diagnoses
  • Perform physical exams and patient observations to inform treatment plans
  • Consult with healthcare professionals and families to ensure comprehensive care
  • Order and analyze diagnostic tests to inform treatment decisions
  • Monitor and operate medical equipment to ensure patient safety
  • Diagnose health issues and develop effective treatment plans
  • Record patients' medical histories and symptoms
  • Maintain accurate patient records and provide documentation for insurance companies
  • Train patients and their families to manage and prevent illness and injury
Requirements
  • Demonstrated eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Orthopedic training or experience preferred
  • Master's degree from an accredited nursing program
  • Previous experience in a related work environment preferred
  • RN licensure in the state where employed or a compact party state and board-certified by either ANCC or AANP
  • APN authorization in the state where employed to practice in family health by the Board of Nurse Examiners
  • Prescriptive authorization
  • Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required to perform work
  • Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and point-of-interview technology
  • A sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of disease prevention
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment while maintaining positive energy
  • Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for professional advancement
  • Able to work compassionately with patients and coworkers to exhibit patient care second to none
