Speech-Language Pathologist Job Description

At Interim HealthCare Staffing, we're seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Tri-Cities, TN. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients, providing speech therapy to those with communication, swallowing, and cognitive difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide speech therapy to patients in facilities such as nursing homes, rehab centers, assisted living facilities, and hospitals.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of physicians, nurses, CNAs, PTs, and OTs to deliver excellent patient care.
  • Assist physicians in evaluating patient ability to speak, swallow, and process information.
  • Conduct patient assessments, document progress, and ensure patient goals are met.
  • Educate patients and families on therapy goals, safety practices, and self-care.
Requirements:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active SLP license in TN.
  • CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations.
  • Good clinical judgment, critical thinking skills, strong communication skills, empathy, and compassion.
