We are a fast-paced 12-bed ICU that manages a complex patient population, including both medical and surgical patients. Our team provides high-acuity care, assisting with bedside procedures and traveling with patients for procedures and testing off the unit.

Scope of Work

The RN, under the ANA scope of practice, utilizes the nursing process to provide professional care, incorporating patient-family centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge.

The RN provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader, adhering to Corewell Health policies and procedures. They recognize the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on patient outcomes.

The RN partners with patients and families, utilizing their input and goals in planning care and developing teaching strategies. They document education and learning appropriately in the health record.

Qualifications

Associates in Nursing are required, with Bachelors in Nursing required within 5 years. Graduates from non-accredited schools of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed healthcare role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.

MI Registered Nurse (RN) is required, with AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required. AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required within 6 months, and specialty certification is highly recommended within 2 years.

Location

Our primary location is Troy Hospital Dequindre Road - Troy, with a part-time employment type and night shift. We offer 24 weekly scheduled hours, with variable days worked and every third weekend.
