Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Plymouth-Canton Community Schools. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing prevention, assessment, and remediation services to students who exhibit difficulties in language, speech, voice, and fluency.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide prevention, assessment, and remediation services to students with communication disorders
  • Collaborate with educational teams to develop strategies that focus on the interrelationship of language processes and literacy development
  • Consult with educational teams and various groups to develop their understanding of communication disorders and their impact on student achievement
  • Participate in the multidisciplinary educational team and educational planning process to identify communication disorders, determine program eligibility, and develop services recommendations
  • Provide services to students in ways that build upon individual strengths and offer students maximum opportunities to participate in the planning and direction of their own learning experience
Requirements:
  • Valid Michigan Speech-Language Pathology License
  • Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology
  • Endorsement to work with students who have speech and language impairments pursuant to Rules,, and of the Revised Administrative Rules for Special Education
