The Maintenance Technician - Multi-Craft position involves working autonomously and collaboratively to execute preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance activities. This role necessitates the successful completion of an online evaluation. If you have previously taken a Phillips 66 assessment in 2023 or earlier, a retake is required for this position. Assessment results are valid for one year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting maintenance and repairs on pipeline pump stations and terminal apparatus, including natural gas engines, diesel engines, motors, pumps, compressors, meters, and valves.
- Ensuring safe, effective, and efficient maintenance and operational activities in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Adhering to company policies, procedures, and directives.
- Performing minor electrical tasks.
- Working on air pollution control systems.
- Executing preventive and corrective maintenance on various equipment to guarantee safe and efficient operations.
- Identifying maintenance needs and initiating work requests.
- Operating a company vehicle within the designated area.
- Training less experienced personnel and supervising contract workers.
- Creating procedures, instructions, training materials, and safety permits.
- Assisting with pipeline operations as needed.
- Diagnosing mechanical issues effectively.
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Minimum of 1 year of maintenance or mechanical experience in the oil and gas sector or a related field.
- Maintain all necessary operations and safety training, including required Operator Qualifications for DOT covered tasks.
- Willingness to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC).
- Ability to comply with the following requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Climb ladders and stairs ranging from 5 to 40 feet to operate valves or perform maintenance.
- Lift and transport items weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Engage in walking, standing, stooping, sitting, climbing, and carrying materials daily on various terrains.
- Work scheduled or unscheduled overtime as needed.
- Be available for on-call duties 24/7.
- Travel at least 10 to 15 percent of the time.
- Work outdoors in challenging weather conditions.
- Work independently a significant portion of the time.
- Wear necessary personal protective equipment, including fire-retardant clothing and steel-toe shoes.
- Maintain a clean-shaven face for proper respirator fit.
- Associate degree in a technical discipline.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, and SAP.
- At least 1 year of direct experience in vibration analysis.
- 3 or more years of experience interpreting schematics, manuals, and drawings.
- Strong understanding of code requirements, including OSHA and Process Safety.
