Opportunity Overview:
A healthcare organization is looking for a dedicated Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to become a part of their team in Washington. This position offers a flexible schedule with ongoing opportunities.
Schedule:
1 day per week, with flexibility in selecting the working days. There are no call responsibilities associated with this role.
Practice Environment:
The selected candidate will receive support from an onsite Medical Assistant, a remote Medical Assistant, and a care coordinator. The average patient load is approximately 15 patients per day, with a patient demographic that ranges from young adults to seniors, focusing primarily on geriatric care.
Clinical Responsibilities:
The role involves delivering comprehensive primary care services, which include:
- Acute care management (e.g., respiratory infections, minor injuries)
- Chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, hypertension)
- Preventive care services (e.g., annual physicals, immunizations)
Additional skills such as suturing, laceration repair, incision and drainage, ingrown toenail removal, and injections are advantageous.
Travel and Accommodation:
Reimbursement for mileage is provided.
