The Construction Project Director at BluSky is responsible for estimating, securing sales, and managing restoration projects for various property types affected by disasters. This role ensures project profitability, oversees revenue production, and maintains strong customer relations.
This position drives business development efforts and collaborates with internal teams to maximize efficiency and client satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of recent marketing/business development and sales experience in the restoration or construction industry with a proven track record of sales growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Sales: Meet or exceed monthly and yearly sales goals, negotiate and execute contracts on behalf of the company, sell all services that BluSky offers, convert opportunities into sales, and track and measure sales and sales opportunities in our CRM and Tracking Sheets.
- Revenue: Oversee and expedite revenue production in accordance with monthly goals, work with all members of the project team to ensure timeliness of deposit, progress, and final billings, provide oversight and direction to the Project Manager in production of revenue, and review and collaborate with Project Team on Project schedules.
- Profit Margins: Develop and take ownership of the project budget in compliance with vertical target margins, ensure the accuracy of the budget and modify it during the course of the project if conditions warrant, seek to improve project profitability by judicious use of vendors, in-house labor, and material suppliers, and supervise and monitor project costs to ensure margin integrity.
- AR & Collections: Intentional conversations at the beginning of each project outlining the AR process and setting expectations with the customer for collections, review and understand specific program's for invoicing, payment terms, conditions, and process, perform weekly collection calls on all accounts, weekly reviews for A/R Aging to proactively manage the accounts, monitor lien rights, and follow through on assignments, and maintain DSO (Days Sale Outstanding) at or below 75 days.
