Position Overview

This is a Contract role with working hours from 10am to 6pm. We are in search of a proficient Assembly Specialist for a contract, hourly position. In this role, you will be tasked with the assembly of automated testing and assembly machinery designed by our talented engineers. This position requires a meticulous and technically adept individual capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble automated testing and assembly machinery according to specifications provided by our engineering team, encompassing both mechanical and electrical elements.
  • Interpret and consolidate various documentation types, including bills of materials (BOM), schematics, and CAD models, to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Collaborate with engineers to comprehend assembly requirements and troubleshoot any technical challenges encountered during the assembly process.
  • Conduct basic functional tests on assembled equipment to verify proper operation prior to deployment.
  • Independently manage tasks to ensure the timely and precise completion of assembly projects.
  • Occasionally assist in sourcing tools and components necessary for equipment assembly, although this is not a primary duty.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience as an Assembly Technician or in a comparable role, ideally with automated systems.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including BOMs, schematics, and CAD models.
  • Basic knowledge of functional testing protocols for assembled machinery.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with engineers and team members.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Compensation: $25/hr - $30/hr
