Job Overview

We're looking for a part-time Respiratory Therapist to assist in planning and developing the scope and emphasis of Respiratory Care Services. You'll work closely with our team to organize and deliver medically prescribed respiratory care to inpatients and outpatients, both pre-operatively and post-operatively. Your goal will be to facilitate the rehabilitation of children with orthopedic conditions, in conjunction with the National Board of Respiratory Care and departmental policies for treatment and procedures.

Schedule and Benefits

This is a part-time position, requiring 12 hours of work per week. You'll also receive 9 observed holidays per year. The compensation range for this position is based on qualifications, professional experience, and education.

Responsibilities

As a Respiratory Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing direct patient care, evaluating and treating each patient with appropriate interventions based on their needs, medical necessity, developmental appropriateness, and physician order.

• Effectively communicating patient care needs with medical, nursing, and ancillary staff.

• Demonstrating flexibility in scheduling shifts as needed for the best interest of the department and patient needs.

• Providing thorough, accurate, inpatient and outpatient documentation, in compliance with department, hospital, and Joint Commission policies.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you'll need to have:

• An Associate in Respiratory Therapy.

• 2 years of experience as a respiratory care practitioner.

• National Board for Respiratory Care certification.

• A license to practice in the state of OR.

• COVID-19 vaccination.

Preferred Qualifications

We also prefer candidates with a Bachelor in Respiratory Therapy, 1 year of experience in pediatrics, and 1 year of experience in critical care.
