Job Summary

Mohawk Ambulance is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our team. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care to patients in a variety of settings, including ambulances, hospitals, and other medical facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage patient care in emergency situations, using advanced life support skills and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Operate and maintain ambulances and medical equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • NYS AEMT-P certification.
  • General knowledge of company operational policies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively via telephone and radio equipment.
  • Ability to lift, carry and balance up to 125 pounds (250 pounds with assistance).
  • Ability to interpret oral, written, and diagnostic form instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Class "D" New York State Driver License or higher.

Benefits

Mohawk Ambulance offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including a $10,000 sign-on/retention bonus paid out over 2 years in quarterly payments & pro-rated based on 40-hour work week. Additionally, employees are eligible for a weekend differential program, earning an extra $2.00 per hour for weekend shifts (Friday night through Monday morning) when the program is active.
