Shaker for ChristianaCare Direct is actively seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our 3B General Medical Unit.

Unit Overview:

The 3B unit is a 32-bed inpatient facility specializing in General Medical care with Telemetry capabilities. It is dedicated to providing both scheduled and emergency medical services around the clock. The unit is equipped to manage 32 patients requiring inpatient treatment for various medical conditions. The demographic served includes adult and elderly patients, with cases ranging from moderate to severe health issues. Patients may be admitted from various sources including home, emergency services, physician offices, and other hospital departments. The unit handles a diverse array of medical conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Exacerbations of COPD
  • Pneumonia
  • Alcohol withdrawal
  • Opioid withdrawal
  • Nausea, vomiting, and abdominal discomfort
  • Altered mental states
  • Osteomyelitis
  • Back pain
  • Diabetes management
  • Cellulitis
