About the Role

This role is responsible for providing clinically relevant information to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of vascular patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise sonography staff and oversee professional development of sonography staff.
  • Exam Preparation and Conduct
    • Prepare exam rooms and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography examinations in accordance with infectious disease, sterilization, and patient safety protocols.
    • Conduct patient clinical assessments and perform diagnostic medical sonography examinations ordered by the supervising physician.
  • Image Review and Quality Control
    • Review examination images, synthesize examination results, and prepare preliminary findings.
    • Perform quality control procedures to ensure optimal ultrasound equipment operation and manage preventive maintenance programs.
  • Education and Training
    • Provide education and training to sonographers on new equipment features and scanning techniques.
  • Facility Operations
    • Assist with daily sonography facility operations and prioritize work based on workflow fluctuations.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an ultrasound program or formal training program.
  • RVT or RVS certification preferred.
  • Minimum of five years ultrasound technologist experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work and prosper in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and deliver new modalities, products, and services as introduced.
