Key Responsibilities- Install, repair, and maintain electrical equipment, including motors, breakers, drivers, PLC controls, and sensors/switches.
- Perform in-depth troubleshooting of complex equipment and develop plans for maintenance, projects, and improvements.
- Contribute to safety adherence and understanding across the organization, promoting electrical safety best practices.
- Lead and work with outside vendors/technicians for calibration of electrical machinery and equipment.
- Assume leadership role with other electricians, including those at another site, and function as foreperson for outages and turn-arounds.
- Assist supervisor of maintenance in payout of new installations and complete associated documentation.
- Lead inventory control for electrical components and ensure critical spares are on hand.
- Assist Engineering staff and maintenance supervisor in planning and problem-solving plant expansion and improvement.
- Work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, and develop new schematics.
- Locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment, applying advanced troubleshooting skills and abilities.
- Use a variety of electrician's hand tools, measuring equipment, and testing instruments, including multi-meters, load testing, and computers.
- Develop WOs within CMMS and execute on WO completion, leading development and training on electrical/instrumentation PM/PdM development and execution.
- Troubleshoot, install, upgrade, and program PLCs and other automation systems.
- High School Diploma required; Associates Degree in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5-7 years of on-the-job experience or equivalent education and solid maintenance metalworking and carpentry skills.
Materion offers a competitive salary range of $38.00, with actual base salary offered varying based on factors such as relevant skill, prior experience, education, and geographic location.
The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology.
