Responsibilities

  • Pre-Visit Preparation: Prepare charts for assigned providers one day prior to visits, ensuring all necessary information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Treatment Room Maintenance: Clean and prepare treatment rooms, autoclave medical instruments, and maintain a sterile environment.
  • Patient Intake: Timely intake of pediatric patients on Athena health EHR, ensuring accurate and efficient documentation.
  • Vital Signs and Documentation: Perform age-appropriate vital signs and document in EHR, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Medication Reconciliation: Reconcile current medications with patients' existing charts, ensuring accurate and safe medication management.
  • Vaccinations and Lab Tests: Administer vaccinations and perform point-of-care lab tests, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Team Support: Assist other Medical Assistants in performing vaccines and support MDs in performing minor office procedures.
  • Administrative Tasks: Prepare school forms and shot records before patient checkout, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

Requirements

  • Certifications: Medical Assistant Certification and BLS or CPR Certification.
  • Experience: Experience with Electronic Health Records and a strong background in pediatrics.
