Material Handler

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team at Prescott's Surgical Microscopes.

Our company is a prominent leader in the medical device industry, focusing on the refurbishment and distribution of surgical microscopes.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving and unpacking incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy of orders against invoices and packing slips. They will inspect received items for quality and damage, reporting discrepancies to the inventory management team. The Material Handler will document and enter received products into the inventory management system, collaborate with staff to organize and store received items appropriately, and process purchase orders by counting items and physically receiving quantities in NetSuite.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (not required)
• 0-3+ years of experience in a receiving or warehouse role, preferably in the medical device or manufacturing industry
• Basic understanding of inventory management systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklifts and pallet jacks) is a plus
• Good computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Physical capability to lift, move, and carry items up to 10 pounds regularly
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to frequently stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Pay Information:

$20.00 per hour
