Job Summary

As a Travel MRI Technologist, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures on patients of all ages to assist in the diagnosis of patient illness. This role requires a clinical radiographer background with a minimum of 2 years MRI clinical experience and Siemens equipment experience.

Key Responsibilities

Perform MRI diagnostic imaging procedures according to department procedures and protocols
Locate and record internal elements of the body, and identify any anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant conditions
Adjust equipment and calm patients to eliminate test artifacts
Monitor patients for potentially dangerous physical and emotional changes
Evaluate test results for clarity and accuracy
Review tests with peers and physician
Inform physicians of preliminary findings as requested according to department procedures
Distribute completed test results to physicians and service providers
Prepare diagnostic information for physician interpretation
Maintain patient charts, entering diagnosis and billing codes, logging data into patient information systems, and updating file systems for tests performed
Clean and sterilize equipment and work space
Recognize equipment malfunctions and readjust equipment or write referrals for repair
Instruct patients in pretest preparation, answer questions, and explain procedures
Compliance with Siemens, hospital and departmental policies and procedures
Maintain equipment according to Infection Control procedure
Maintain technical competency through continued education and participation in Siemens training programs
Under guidance and approval of site Radiologist, administer contrast agents according to site-specific protocols
Maintain current Permits to Practice in all states in which services are performed
Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshooting problems. Call for service and notify all pertinent team members
Follow quality assurance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality
Perform additional duties as required
