Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Eagle Mountain City. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors, as well as cleaning walls, doors, and windows.
  • Operate various cleaning equipment, such as power buffers and carpet extraction machines.
  • Monitor custodial supplies and materials inventory, and report any shortages to the supervisor.
  • Perform general facility security checks, including checking door locks and other systems.
  • Perform miscellaneous weekend, seasonal, or periodic duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience performing custodial duties preferred.
  • Knowledge of janitorial procedures and techniques, as well as safe work principles and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Work Environment

Workers in this position will regularly work in both indoor and outdoor weather conditions. Tasks require a variety of physical activities, including walking, standing, stooping, sitting, reaching, and lifting (frequently move up to 50 pounds and occasionally move up to 75 pounds). Talking, hearing, and seeing are essential to the performance of the job. Common eye, hand, and finger dexterity are needed. The employee will frequently work near moving mechanical parts and will be frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration. The employee will occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. Mental application utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, discriminating thinking, and creative problem-solving. Frequent local travel is required in the normal course of job performance.
