About the Role

At Universal Health Services, we are committed to providing high-quality medical services to our patients. As a Certified Surgical Technician - Operating Room, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, store, and issue sterile and non-sterile supplies and equipment to hospital divisions.
  • Assist in maintaining an effective level of infection control.
  • Clean and prepare all OR instrumentation for sterilization.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, patients, and the general public.
  • Ability to perform basic math.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
  • Previous experience and/or training in Central Supply/Operating Room preferred but will train.
  • General education level.
  • CSSM preferred. If not currently certified, must start taking classes within 45 days of hire toward certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
