We are seeking professional, enthusiastic, and compassionate individuals with experience to engage in one-on-one interactions with young children, helping them to meet and exceed their developmental objectives.
Compensation: The pay rate for Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) ranges from $19.00 to $20.00 per hour. New Behavior Therapists will start at a probationary rate of $16.00 to $17.00 until they obtain their RBT certification within the first 60 days of employment. Project Brilliance provides comprehensive training, guidelines, and support to assist in achieving this certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized therapy sessions to clients and facilitate or assist in peer play and social interaction groups.
- Support children in acquiring new skills and working towards personalized goals aimed at enhancing communication, social engagement, problem-solving, and daily living skills.
- Implement effective teaching strategies, behavior modification techniques, and maintain accurate data collection.
- Collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and provide insights on each child's progress.
- Instruct children in appropriate social behaviors.
- Ensure the safety of children during both indoor and outdoor activities.
- Assist with personal care tasks as needed, including diaper changes and potty training.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with a commitment of 40 hours per week. Opportunities for center-based and home therapy are available.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or a related discipline is required.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in ABA therapy is advantageous, though training will be provided.
- Ability to engage and play with young children (ages 2-6) in diverse environments.
- Teach children appropriate social behaviors.
- Prior experience in ABA is a plus.
