Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at Gringos Tex-Mex. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized dish area, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain the dish machine, ensuring it is clean and functioning properly.
  • Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware, maintaining adequate levels of clean items for the dining room and kitchen.
  • Keep the dish area clean and organized, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure a sanitary wash cycle.
  • Bag and haul dish area trash to the dumpster at designated times.
  • Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
  • Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
  • Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
Requirements
  • Previous restaurant experience is not required but preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information to customers and other team members.
  • Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.
Physical Demands
  • Constant standing/walking.
  • Occasional stooping/kneeling.
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 60 pounds.
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps.
  • Constant working in a hot, wet, humid, and loud environment for long periods.
  • Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine.
  • Constant receiving detailed information through oral communication.
  • Constant talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas using the spoken word.
  • Constant clarity of vision at near and/or far distances.
