Home Care Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Home Care Assistant to join our team at Maxim Healthcare Services. As a key member of our care team, you will provide essential support services to assist clients with personal, physical mobility, and therapeutic care needs.

Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities as a Home Care Assistant will include:
• Providing services to persons who need help with day-to-day activities, including health care tasks, personal hygiene services, and other related support services essential to the client's health
• Assisting with transfers and ambulation to ensure safe movement and mobility
• Performing incidental household services that are an integral part of a personal care plan, such as light housekeeping and laundry
• Providing companionship by reading, listening, and talking with clients to promote social interaction and engagement
• Assisting clients in developing independent skills through self-care activities such as toileting, clothing routines, and personal hygiene
• Appropriately reporting changes in client status or as directed by care plan
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
• One (1) year relevant experience preferred, with a strong understanding of home care principles and practices
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, with hands-on demonstration
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray results
• Knowledge of child growth and development, with ability to adapt care plans accordingly
• Ability to coordinate and facilitate services between the home, school, local health agency, and other community resources
• Strong communication skills, with proficiency in the English language required
• Computer proficiency, with ability to use electronic medical records and other software applications
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and location. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, HSA, and PTO. We also offer a 401(k) savings plan and Maxcares Awards Program to recognize and reward outstanding performance.
