Position Overview:
The Housekeeper plays a vital role in ensuring a pristine and healthy environment for patient care by meticulously maintaining designated areas in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion. This position involves collaborating with supervisors regarding the needs for environmental services equipment and repairs, as well as ensuring that waste disposal contractors fulfill their duties as scheduled.
Compensation: Competitive pay range

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute specific cleaning and custodial duties to uphold the sanitation and cleanliness of the facility.
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing fixtures.
  • Maintain cleanliness in rooms, bathrooms, laboratories, offices, and hallways using appropriate cleaning equipment.
  • Handle the washing of bed frames and linens, ensuring readiness for new patients.
  • Keep utility and storage areas organized and tidy.
  • Operate commercial laundry machines, ensuring proper laundering of soiled linens.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols, managing the transport of soiled linens and distribution of cleaned items.
  • Conduct thorough floor maintenance, including sweeping, scrubbing, and polishing while observing safety precautions.
  • Clean carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, ensuring a dust-free environment.
  • Wash walls, ceilings, and windows, maintaining overall facility aesthetics.
  • Manage waste disposal by emptying wastebaskets and transporting trash to designated areas.
  • Disinfect rooms and equipment using appropriate cleaning agents and techniques.
  • Regularly check inventory of cleaning supplies and linens to ensure adequacy.
  • Properly store and maintain all cleaning equipment and supplies after each shift.
  • Follow standard safety guidelines and protocols while performing cleaning tasks.
  • Prepare rooms for meetings and assist in arranging furniture for facility events.
