Position Overview:

As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service in a welcoming and organized environment. Your commitment to the Customer 1st strategy will inspire your colleagues to provide exceptional service. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create a friendly atmosphere where customers feel valued and appreciated by addressing inquiries about products available in the store.
  2. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
  3. Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately.
  4. Promote any ongoing charitable initiatives to customers.
  5. Stay informed about current promotions and special offers.
  6. Handle transactions through the checkout lane with speed and precision, utilizing the Point of Sale (POS) system effectively.
  7. Manage various payment methods, including cash, checks, credit, debit, and other forms of tender, following company procedures.
  8. Maintain integrity by adhering to cash handling guidelines and minimizing losses.
  9. Comply with shrinkage policies related to front-end operations.
  10. Understand and follow regulations regarding restricted sale items.
  11. Keep your workspace clean and organized.
  12. Report any safety hazards or illegal activities promptly.
  13. Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations as well as company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Basic mathematical knowledge.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Experience as a courtesy clerk.

Certifications: None required.
