Position Title: Sourcing and Procurement Coordinator
Employment Type: Full Time Regular
Location: Corporate Office
SUMMARY: The primary objective of this role is to efficiently acquire a diverse range of raw materials and components essential for Mennel. This position necessitates collaboration with various departments including Sales, R&D, Suppliers, and plant teams to ensure the procurement of cost-effective, high-quality products that align with the organization's requirements.
This role is integral to upholding the Mission and Motto, as well as the Food Safety and Quality Statement of Mennel Milling Company.
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, with variations based on workload.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to all food safety and personal safety regulations in accordance with GMPs, OSHA, HACCP, and the Global Food Safety Initiative.
- Maintain the department in a state of readiness for audits.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective fulfillment of supply needs for Mennel.
- Select appropriate vendors and alternatives to meet product specifications.
- Oversee the entire procurement process, including contract negotiations, pricing models, and supplier support.
- Collaborate with plant teams to forecast needs and secure adequate supply coverage.
- Regularly assess and adjust contracts in response to changing company requirements.
- Support production and financial objectives.
- Address pricing and quality disputes with supplier stakeholders as necessary.
- Develop and maintain a risk management strategy to identify supply risks and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor supplier performance through established KPIs.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
SUPERVISORY ROLE: This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in sourcing or procurement roles.
- Understanding of business operations and processes.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and warehouse management systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Capability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and procedures. Capable of writing basic documentation and effectively presenting information in various settings.
