Structures Mechanic*Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Conduct thorough analysis of technical documentation and execute inspection, restoration, and substitution of aircraft metallic structures, including primary landing gear components, fuselage panels, and floor support beams in compliance with relevant maintenance guidelines, FAA standards, and Aerotek's operational policies.
Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, schematics, or product specifications to ascertain the sequence and techniques for crafting, assembling, and installing metallic products.
Organize, design, fabricate, assemble, install, and mend sheet metal components, utilizing expertise in the properties of metallic and nonmetallic materials, machining practices, and layout methodologies.
Choose appropriate gauge and type of sheet metal, such as stainless steel, aluminum, or nonmetallic materials like plastics or composites, in accordance with product specifications.
Mark and outline dimensions and reference lines on materials using tools such as scribes, dividers, squares, and rulers, applying knowledge of shop mathematics and layout techniques to develop and trace patterns for products or components.
Perform maintenance tasks, including the repair and upkeep of company tools and facilities. Document all actions in the Component Removal Log, complete identification tags, and routing tags for repairable parts upon component removal from aircraft.Ensure accurate documentation of training received, signed by the Lead, and make necessary entries on routine and non-routine work cards.

1st shift M-F 6am to 2:30pm, 2nd shift M-F 2:30pm to 10:30pm
COMPENSATION:
1 -3 Years of Experience: $32-35 (Local) //$32-37 (Per Diem) $13/hr Per diem3 – 5 Years of Experience: $36-38 (Local) // $37-40 (Per Diem) $20/hr Per diem5+ Years of Experience: $38-40 (Local) // $42-47 (Per Diem) $20/hr Per diem

Physical Requirements:
Requires prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking. Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and reaching above shoulder level. Occasional crawling, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling weight up to 50lbs unassisted. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity, corrected vision, and hearing within normal range.
