We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will provide high-quality therapy services to our patients, working closely with our physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
Key Responsibilities- Implement treatment plans and provide therapy services to patients, including directing and educating patients and caregivers.
- Supervise rehab technicians, students, and volunteers as applicable.
- Communicate effectively with other healthcare providers regarding client care and treatment plans.
- Provide training and education to hospital staff as requested.
- Complete patient documentation in a timely manner to meet regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Attend continuing education programs and present findings to appropriate staff as applicable.
- Review and complete all insurance authorization requirements for patients in a timely manner.
- Assist with performance improvement for the rehab department and hospital.
- Associate's Degree from an accredited PTA program.
- Virginia State Physical Therapist Assistant License or Compact Privilege.
This role requires standing and walking constantly, frequent bending/stooping, and repetitive body movements. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills are essential, as well as the ability to write legibly and lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
