Responsibilities
  • Client Consultations: Meet with prospective clients to discuss their legal needs and provide guidance on potential courses of action.
  • Legal Research and Writing: Conduct thorough research and draft pleadings, discovery demands/responses, and motions to support our clients' cases.
  • Discovery and Trial Preparation: Participate in all phases of discovery, including depositions and site inspections, and prepare cases for trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
  • Lead Counsel: Opportunity to handle trials as lead counsel from jury selection through verdict.
  • Motions and Appeals: Brief and argue motions and appeals to support our clients' interests.
  • Client Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and updates on their cases.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree: Earned from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to Practice Law: Admitted to practice law in New York.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of personal injury and/or insurance defense litigation experience.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, strong legal research and writing skills, and ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
Benefits
  • Competitive Salary: $90,000 to $110,000 based on experience.
