Job Title: Senior Retail Optics Manager
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Retail Optics Manager to join our team at National Vision. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader to oversee the eyeglass department, drive sales growth, and deliver exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Business Growth: Drive, monitor, and achieve profit, sales, and performance goals according to National Vision standards. Ensure optimal retail operating costs, budgets, and resources are in place.
- Optical Department Management: Oversee the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency, compliance with company policies, and operational guidelines. Identify areas of improvement and develop action plans.
- Customer Service: Convey a commitment to providing outstanding customer service and ensure all associates do the same.
- Quality Standards: Ensure quality standards are met.
- Marketing Execution: Ensure effective merchandising and execution of marketing, pricing promotions, and initiatives according to Brand and Company standards.
- Team Supervision: Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates (in some stores, Receptionists) and ensure timely completion of day-to-day functions.
- Staffing and Recruitment: Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting, and retaining high-caliber staff.
- Associate Development: Lead and coach associates towards attainment of sales and customer service goals. Mentor potential Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.
- Licensure: Maintain Optical license as required by the state.
- Experience: Optical sales experience; supervisory experience preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, coach, and build associate relationships.
- Store Operations: Sound understanding of store operations and standards for success.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills (both oral and written) for effective management of teams.
- Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills for planning work and continuously monitoring progress towards goals.
- Financial Analysis: Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope.
- Certifications: ABO and NCLE Certified
