We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant II to join our Cardiology team at Sutter Health. As a Medical Assistant II, you will provide clinical and clerical support to our providers and patient care team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provides clinical support to providers and patient care team, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and administering injections.
- Performs clerical duties, such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Assists with implementing the medical plan of care, ensuring smooth patient flow and workflow within the department.
- Integrates education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families, and other healthcare providers.
- Works independently and as part of a team, prioritizing assignments and meeting deadlines.
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Completion of a course of study consistent with the requirements for Medical Assistants as specified by the Medical Board of California
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
- 1 year of recent relevant experience
- MA Certification by a California Medical Board recognized agency
- Equivalent Sutter Health Training program
