We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Box Truck Driver at Warshauer Electric Supply. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Unload trucks and check in merchandise in a timely and accurate manner
- Make daily deliveries as needed, utilizing a 24' box truck
- Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders, packing boxes, and placing orders in the delivery area
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards
- Open crates and other containers
- Maintain inventory control by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, and recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer
- Assist in counting physical inventory
- Use wire cutting equipment as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat and organized
- Wear proper safety equipment at all times
- Perform other assignments as assigned by management
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years of previous warehouse experience preferred
- Good communication, organizational, time management, and mathematical skills
- Dependable and reliable
- Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry, and computer skills may be required
- Clean driving record
- Ability to drive a 24' box truck in congested areas
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a consistent basis
- Ability to operate a forklift (training will be provided)
- Friendly, personable, and strong customer service skills
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus
- Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions
