Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Box Truck Driver at Warshauer Electric Supply. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unload trucks and check in merchandise in a timely and accurate manner
  • Make daily deliveries as needed, utilizing a 24' box truck
  • Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders, packing boxes, and placing orders in the delivery area
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards
  • Open crates and other containers
  • Maintain inventory control by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, and recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer
  • Assist in counting physical inventory
  • Use wire cutting equipment as needed
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat and organized
  • Wear proper safety equipment at all times
  • Perform other assignments as assigned by management
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 years of previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Good communication, organizational, time management, and mathematical skills
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry, and computer skills may be required
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to drive a 24' box truck in congested areas
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on a consistent basis
  • Ability to operate a forklift (training will be provided)
  • Friendly, personable, and strong customer service skills
Physical Demands and Abilities
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus
  • Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions
