Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the security program, ensuring compliance with both company and client security standards.
  • Engage with various levels of personnel and government officials to guarantee adherence to the National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoD M, and other relevant security classification specifications.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to work independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  • Make informed security decisions regarding high-stakes contracts and enforce procedures to safeguard access to sensitive information and facilities.
  • Provide clear guidance to employees and suggest necessary adjustments to operational policies.
  • Administer daily security operations, including personnel processing, program evaluations, document control, and audits.
  • Conduct investigations into security violations and maintain logs for various security-related activities.
  • Offer technical expertise across security disciplines such as personnel, physical, and computer security.
  • Prepare and distribute security protocols and guidelines.
  • Coordinate Entrance on Duty (EOD) for new personnel.
  • Facilitate SCI briefings and debriefings for program staff.
  • Manage the issuance and maintenance of IC badges in collaboration with the Security Service Center and government clients.
  • Work with DoD, IC, and other officials to stay updated on current security requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of security actions and monitor program compliance.
  • Interpret security policies related to classified material management.
  • Provide regular updates and recommendations regarding security operations.
  • Develop and implement Security Awareness and Counterintelligence training programs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external management to ensure a comprehensive understanding of program operations.
  • Be prepared to work extended hours as necessary.
  • Experience in creating and authoring security volumes for proposals is advantageous.
Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 6-8 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of security protocols to manage complex projects and process improvements.
  • Strong internal and external communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and present effective solutions.
  • Thorough understanding of NISPOM and other government security regulations.
  • Self-starter with the capability to work independently in client environments.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional security value to clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to evaluate government clearance decisions.
  • Strong understanding of Physical Security requirements and Sensitive Compartmented Information programs.
  • Experience with government and corporate security databases.
  • Proficient in conducting security briefings and training sessions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Security training/certifications such as FSO, CPSO, or CSSO.
  • Familiarity with security management systems.
  • Experience in developing security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Knowledge of Access Control and Intrusion Detection Systems.
  • Experience in conducting security incident investigations.
  • Resourceful in problem-solving and opportunity identification.
  • Active member of security organizations or affiliations.
