This role represents the entry-level within the Engineering classification. The incumbent will deliver engineering and technical support to address challenges in a designated area of expertise, under close supervision. Key Responsibilities

Under direct supervision, the incumbent will:
  • Offer engineering and technical support in identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues.
  • Effectively plan, organize, estimate, schedule, and monitor work tasks.
  • Prepare thorough and precise technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches.
  • Engage in continuous improvement of job-related, engineering, technical, and professional knowledge, skills, and performance.
  • Exhibit effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Maintain accurate records and files.
  • Support the organization's objectives and represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an EAC/ABET accredited Engineering Program OR an approved evaluation of non-ABET credentials by NCEES OR graduation from a Master's or Doctoral Program in Engineering from an institution with EAC/ABET accredited Undergraduate Engineering Programs.
  • Familiarity with fundamental engineering theories and principles.
  • Understanding of basic practices for researching engineering and design challenges, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations, and preparing and presenting those recommendations.
  • Ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of electricity and power quality.
  • Knowledge of distribution construction standards and methodologies.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
