Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Traffic Signal Installation Supervisor to join our team at SST Direct. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traffic signal systems, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), lighting, and signage. This is a direct hire position with a reputable electrical contractor focused on highway lighting and traffic signal projects.

Location: Kissimmee, FL
Compensation: $26 - $30+ per hour, with an additional 10% for night shifts and potential bonuses.
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including Paid Time Off (PTO), Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and 401k matching. Opportunities for paid certifications and CDL training are also available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct teams in the installation of traffic signals, ITS, lighting, and signage.
  • Install essential components such as controller cabinets, mast arms, electrical conductors, traffic signals, light poles/fixtures, signage, cameras, and ITS-related equipment.
  • Program, maintain, and repair controls for flashing school zone signs and CCTV systems.
  • Collaborate with the job superintendent and project manager to ensure project success.
  • Organize and prioritize work tasks and assignments effectively.
  • Identify necessary materials and equipment for projects.
  • Support on-site work activities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of traffic signal and ITS electrical systems.
  • IMSA Certification is preferred.
  • CDL is preferred.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.
  • Must be able to meet physical demands, including standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
