About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Unit Assistant to join our Cath Lab team at Manatee Memorial Hospital. As a Unit Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing supportive patient care and facilitating unit operations under the direction of a licensed nurse.

Responsibilities
  • Provide supportive patient care, including clerical work, stocking, ordering, and transporting
  • Assume responsibility for facilitating unit operations, including specified patient care duties
  • Work under the direction of a licensed nurse to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
  • Prior Unit Assistant experience in an acute setting is strongly preferred
  • Strong phone skills and ability to multitask are essential
  • Current License as a Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant by the Florida Board of Nursing is strongly desired
  • Computer competency and ability to work under stress are required
  • Time management skills and ability to be flexible with work tasks are necessary
