Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bakery Team Member to join our team at Walmart. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing fresh baked items daily, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and providing exceptional customer service to our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment, following recipes/make-up instructions, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards and sanitation guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing equipment and work surfaces.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to members, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team, communicating effectively and being flexible to meet the needs of the business.
  • Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment, including ovens, mixers, and packaging machinery.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a bakery or food preparation environment preferred.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
