We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Advisor to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic guidance and support to students, helping them achieve their educational goals.

• Recommend appropriate course selections based on student educational goals
• Identify programs at the college that meet students' goals
• Develop, assist, and facilitate student success programs
• Build short and long-term academic plans for students

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Excellent interviewing and advising skills
• Superior organizational, oral, and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working with database information
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to create and conduct presentations to large and small groups
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills
• Ability to provide continuous courteous customer service

• Master's degree in a related field
• Experience working in higher education
