Warehouse Optimization Specialist

As a Warehouse Optimization Specialist with UNFI, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our distribution centers. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Warehouse Optimization Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will analyze inventory control reports, identify trends, and provide recommendations to Inventory and Operational leadership. Additionally, this individual will support inventory projects and programs to ensure accuracy and compliance with service levels.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze inventory control reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Provide recommendations to Inventory and Operational leadership to optimize warehouse operations
- Support inventory projects and programs to ensure accuracy and compliance with service levels
- Research inventory adjustments and maintain high service levels (low out-of-stocks)
- Initiate date checks and periodic cycle counts
- Troubleshoot daily inventory control issues
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field and/or equivalent work experience in accounting
- Capability of being licensed in operating powered industrial equipment
- Experience in both mechanized and conventional warehousing, in picking and storage operations in dry grocery and perishable areas
- Knowledge of safety guidelines, paperwork and reporting methods related to tracking inventory, and warehouse slotting systems
- Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and report financial data
- Ability to partner with a wide variety of people both in person and virtually
